People who are followers/believers of Islam are called "Muslims". "Muslimah" refers to a female Muslims. "Male Muslim" refers to Muslims who are male (boys or men); there is no single word in the English language that means "male Muslim".

Muslims/Muslimah relation to ISIS Edit
Most follower of Islam actually views ISIS (and other "Islamic Extremists") as a terrorist group who falsely claim to follow the Quran.
One of the ways ISIS persuades their members (forced/non-forced) to suicide bomb in the name of Allah, is with the idea of fast travel to heaven because of the supposed noble cause. However, in fact, in Islam the intention of harming of oneself is prohibited, and suicide is strictly prohibited because it is the quickest way for a soul to travel the Gates of Hell.
Virtues Edit
The Quran contains virtues and guidance for humans (not just its followers) in regards to how to live their life, treat one another, how to eat adequately, and other manners such as respect for women and parents; the Quran also contains texts from the Bible and Torah since the three Holy Book are related.
Though like like all religions, it all depends on the people, even if the person claims to be Muslim, it does not mean that they are a hardcore follower. Just like a follower of Christianity saying "I am Christian" but does not follow what is acceptable as a follower of Christianity, same goes with Judaism, Hinduism, etc.
