    Equating all Kurds with one party is perhaps annoying, I get that. But the fact remains that Turkey as a state is against the expansion of Kurdish rights anywhere at any time. Only as a case of post-fact acceptance do relations exist.

    If one thing makes Turks’ blood boil, it would be language equating Kurds and the PKK/YPG. That’s why I find Erdogan spox ’s response to Trump’s tweet (“Turkey attacking the Kurds”), which shows frustration but not anger, quite sober. Ankara still wants a Syria deal!

    When I was a kid living in a makeshift tent, the Turkish government would deny the existence of me and my people.. now that I’m a little bit older, that same Turkey is trying to tell the world who represents us.

    Mr It is a fatal mistake to equate Syrian Kurds with the PKK, which is on the US terrorists list, and its Syria branch PYD/YPG. Turkey fights against terrorists, not Kurds. We will protect Kurds and other Syrians against all terrorist threats.

    What makes "Turks' blood boil", is any form of kurdish self-determination that is not under Turkish thumb.

    This tweet should be used in English classes and analysed in the future, could be very educational. I've already seen 10 interpretations of what it says, many that didn't even cross my mind.

    Starting the long overdue pullout from Syria while hitting the little remaining ISIS territorial caliphate hard, and from many directions. Will attack again from existing nearby base if it reforms. Will devastate Turkey economically if they hit Kurds. Create 20 mile safe zone....

    Just woke up to this very nebulous tweet. Naively it sounds like giving Turkey what it wants, packaged in something that superficially sounds like a threat. In the short run this means that Turkish threats against kurds is not free but TR will pay w value of lira.
