Cartoon porn featuring minors exists in a legal gray area. It could be said to be technically illegal depending on how a court interprets the statutes. The opposite could also be said. In either case, as a parent and someone who has handled sex abuse cases, I’m not okay with it.

Legality does not always mean it’s okay. As someone once said, if the best thing you can say in your defense is “It’s not technically illegal” then your position likely isn’t strong anywhere but a courtroom.

First jury I was on - many years ago now, and I had to leave partway into the trial as my grandmother had died - was a rape case in which both parties were teens. If memory serves, the accused's defense was that he (of his own choice) "hadn't taken his meds for awhile"

And that's the issue. Using content that is dangerous to vulnerable people, harmful even, as a coping mechanism should very much not be done, as it creates more harm around them than it does to help themselves. It's sad this is even happeneing tbh
