    US withdrawal from Syria means that the US will have to deal with the Syrian regime - even if through the veil of the SDF, which will effectively become part of the Syrian regime. Effective counter-terrorism against ISIS will require it. Iraq will demand it. So will Kurds.

    Dearest Jake, does the same.... Unfortunately. France is not to be outdone and treats its interpreters in the same way.

    The way the US has too often treated the Iraqi and Afghan interpreters and others who risked their lives to help American servicemembers is shameful.
