作家。昭和50年生。慶應義塾大学法学部法律学科卒業。平成18年『語られなかった皇族たちの真実』（小学館）で山本七平賞を受賞。その他近著に『日本はなぜ世界でいちばん人気があるのか』（PHP新書、平成23年）など。皇學館大学現代日本社会学部で「日本国家論」「現代人権論」を受け持つ。
