First, let me post the privacy policy in the
Terms of Service.
Account Privacy
FA values your privacy, and is committed to safeguarding your personal information. We will never use, share or distribute personally identifiable information except when such actions are necessary to:
* comply with law enforcement;* protect or defend our legal rights or property;
* investigate reports of illegal activities, fraud or situations involving potential risk or endangerment to the physical safety of our users.
We reserve the right to display any information posted to your personal Userpage and/or submissions. Information provided on these pages is listed as public. Information submit to the Account page, including required fields for your birth date and password are private information, and will not be displayed publicly.
We can see your notes. At the most basic level, if you link anyone with administrative privileges directly to one of your notes, we can look at them. But we can go further. It's trivial for us to slurp every last one of your notes out of our database.
Now, let me make it clear that this is not something we do regularly. Only three people on the site can authorize doing that, and there has to be a damn good reason. (I'm not going to tell you who they are, but I'm sure you can figure it out. I am not one of those people.)
However.
If you think that using FA as a conduit for illegal activity is a good idea, I would like to make it clear that it is not.
While we do value your privacy, that only goes so far. We will not take the fall for you.
Rest assured that if you are doing something illegal through Fur Affinity and we catch wind of it, we will not hesitate to throw you on the mercy of the courts to save our own asses.
