    People should stop underestimating Erdogan’s or his staff’s capabilities. Yes a lot of stuff in Turkey, currently, might be going south, but believing that Turkish officials cannot themselves write an Op-Ed and get it published on NYT or WSJ is a sign of little ignorance

    Erdogan’s op-ed plainly supported Trump’s policy on Syria, verified his thesis, and presented a solid roadmap for collaboration. How can an advisor to his administration find it wrong and offensive? Bizarre indeed.
