Pushshift.io Fund

Pushshift.io offers a feature-rich API to search social media data including Reddit.  Pushshift also collects and disseminates Reddit comments and submissions on monthly basis.  Over 40 academic papers have used Pushshift has one of the sources for their research. 

The goal for this fundraising event is to raise $10,000 for continued operation for the remainder of 2018 while I develop a comprehensive business plan to achieve more funding for continue operations into 2019 and beyond. 

With your support, Pushshift will remain healthy for the remainder of this year and continue to provide valuable data for data scientists, data hobbyists, academic researchers and others who use social media data for their projects.

In the previous month, Pushshift.io has served over 325 million API requests and has provided over 100 terabytes of bandwidth for people looking to use social media data for their projects.  Pushshift is continuing to work hard to expand the API by offering new features including bot detection and other exciting features that will help aid data scientists and researchers.  

Achieving $10,000 in funding will ensure Pushshift has the needed funds for the remainder of 2018 and provide the necessary time to secure more long-term funding in the future.
