Man ‘broke into Co-op funeral home and had sex with a corpse’

A man has appeared in court for sexual penetration of a corpse after he allegedly broke into a funeral home.

Khurum Shazada, 23, is due in court today following the alleged incident on November 11 at a Co-op funeral parlour in Birmingham.

Relatives of the deceased have been notified.

A police spokesman said: ‘An unemployed Birmingham man has been charged with sexual penetration of a corpse and trespass following a break-in at a Co-op funeral parlour in Great Barr on Sunday 11 November.

‘Khurum Shazada, 23, appeared at Birmingham magistrates’ court on Wednesday 21 November and was remanded into custody.’
