We are reviewing this at the exec/board level. Thank you for making sure we are aware.
-
I'm gonna wait the exact same answer you're giving against other users. If you wants to be fair then review and ban that person
-
I think a lot of people are waiting on the exact awnser.

Or are registration costs going up to cover a background check to make sure every person in the fandom with any kind of criminal history whatsoever is banned from attending?
-
We are not performing background checks on our attendees. As with our other policies, we are examining CoC violations case-by-case as we become aware of them.
-
I do hope that your investigations are thorough, because I wouldn't call a Tumblr page a reliable source.

Hmmm, doesn't show him on the sex offender registry
-
Seems like an echo on what klace posted
-
It's the original source, with artist testimonies in the comments and screens of records posted.
-
XD I like how the majority of it is censored out to make it "anonymous". I mean a couple of dummy accounts and 10 minutes of photo shop and I can do the same things.

Are you seriously defending a convicted, repeated offender? One who admitted on his Fur Affinity Journal that he did it, and tried to explain it away, and then brag that it got expunged, and has done all he can to scrub himself from his companies records so that he can continue?
-
Nah don't think he's defending him, just pointing out the irony of how scrubbing out that info is kinda pointless. BUT it's done as a kind gesture to someone who...in my opinion doesn't deserve it, but at the same time can't be used as an excuse for the criminal to cry wolf.
-
A fair point, but you can see how it comes out that way? But I am sure that things are going to continue spiraling for them it's only a matter of time I think. Hopefully more conventions follow in these footsteps.

What matters is if they broke the law. They can't ban people for how they feel, or if they have what's considered a mental disorder. If this person molested people or is a sex offender they might be able to ban them.
-
"history of sexual violence or pedophilia" is kind of vague. I know it indicates legally admissible evidence of sex crimes and predation upon minors, but the wording could lead people to think rumors and orientation/predilections are enough for a ban, which seems unlikely
