Hey folks,

I've got the mascot changer working on the homepage now; I've added a few of the mascots from the previous competition to the rotation and would appreciate feedback (maybe even bug reports) on these.

If you have any requests for additional mascots you'd like to see in rotation, please mention it in this thread and provide a link to the image in question!

Hope you enjoy this new addition to the site - and I'm sorry it took me so long to get this set up and change it from Dylan.

I believe we're still waiting on artwork of Hexerade from Chizi. I don't think he ever got it to us.

thank god finally. this was done super fast, so i understand, but will this also affect other pages besides the front page? i rarely touch it so i wouldn't enjoy it.

That's the idea, yes. Just hasn't been implemented yet, nor am I sure that we have the artwork yet for the other pages.

They were doing a pretty good job of hiding Dylan's dongle with the SEARCH/POSTS bar so I don't see this being much of an issue.

I want to see Hexy as mascot :(

also, post #64032 is pretty good for a Hexerade picture.

and as one... MINOR of MINOR quibble... two of the current 'back' images feature lighter colored hexagons floating through space in some manner... while the other two do not. I'd be nice of the theme could be carried along to the other two, if only loosely :) but, as said, this is the most minor of quibbles.

Easiest solution, get all mascots as transparent PNGs and just paste them onto background :D

When I first heard you guys were going to incorporate several mascots, I was wondering how you'd be able to pull it off.

now you can select whatever mascot you like. there is no mind-making to be done. :)
