    And despite what Pres is claiming, once taken over, is the foot in the door for Al-Boukhater, Al-Bouhassan, Baghuz and Al-Soussah, a heavily built up town of about 14Sq Kms. Previous Coalition estimates to end IS in that pocket were Spring/Summer 2019.

    On Monday, IS felt confident enough to launch a counterattack, taking over the entire Qalaa district as surprised SDF troops withdrew. IS fighters reached as far as the school district before being beaten back to Qalaa where clashes are ongoing.
