  2. Interesting. Seems Trump is convinced is defeated [enough], that can be countered without being in , and that salvaging relations with was key to that. "Can we [get the troops out] today? Now? Trump asked. Bolton nodded: 'Yes,' he said."

  3. Today, U.S. officials have told that the U.S. will be ceasing the air campaign in entirely. Again, has not even had its whole "caliphate" destroyed yet, let alone been actually wounded in a serious way.

Last week I asked a US intel source how many ISIS sleeper cells remained in Northern Syria and within the SDF. “If the U.S. pulled out tomorrow,” he told me, “ISIS would be outside Qamishli in 24 hours. It’s that bad.” ISIS is not defeated, Mr. President.

The "I'm being persecuted like Jesus" defence is a bold move in any context, but I think it's the fact that it's over a speeding ticket that really makes this so wonderful.

In case you were wondering how this statement that the Syria decision is what fallen soldiers "would want" is going over...I've had multiple people who served in Syria text me this tweet today. Let's just say it's being received very, very, very poorly.

The biggest lie at the end of the year 2018 is Trump's statement that they triumphed over Daesh. Apart from the political calculations between the United States and Turkey, Trump's decision to draw down US troops from Syria is the biggest victory for after years of war.
