Here's what the hackers' infrastructure is actually doing when bypassing 2FA; driving the browser to certain URLs to request and feed tokens (this example is for Yahoo but Amnesty, which found the campaign, said it is the same for Gmail)

New: here's how hackers are defeating Gmail two-factor authentication at scale. Automating the process of sending a 2FA code to a target phone, phishing that, and passing it back to Google to login. This is within reach of lower level actors now.

    9. In short, the Russian government & must either produce their “irrefutable evidence” for each of these accusations, or they must stop smearing an organisation which has saved thousands of lives in this horrific conflict. End.

    8. These accusations are designed to question the legitimacy of the WH as first responders: it undermines evidence the WH provide of war crimes and helps depict them as “legitimate targets”, enabling the use of force against a humanitarian group.

    7. These accusations call into question the role of the “Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria”, a source of 8 out of 22 of the claims. Are they actually attempting reconciliation? Or are they acting as a laundering facility for disinformation?

    6. This dearth of evidence provided with these accusations makes them difficult to debunk individually, but taken as a whole their absurdity shines through. For instance, the list of groups who are supposedly collaborating in this grand conspiracy is, quite frankly, laughable.
