    There is no scenario in which the SDF doesn’t make amends with the regime. They have every right to do so, and we have every right to have a transactional relationship with them.

    Fine statement to cause a panic for the SDF, who are already tepidly reaching out to Damascus as a devil they know.

    Amb Jeffrey : We support SDF for specific goal: fighting ISIS which they’re not doing as a favor to us. They are partners in a transactional relationship. Afterwards they are a Syrian party like anyone. We don’t have permanent relations with substate entities.
