If you tried to increase this rich white man’s taxes by 1%, he would have an apoplectic fit. But he thinks it’s noble and necessary for millions of other people to be thrust into poverty by his idiocy. This is the spirit of colonialism but practiced on your own island.

The next stage of Brexit madness is some rich man shouting, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger but if you do die, that still makes the herd stronger.” These people are nuts. The UK is following mad people off a cliff.

Terrible Brexit lines which are increasingly annoying: 1) We had our say, if there must be a second referendum it’s between May Deal and No Deal 2) I voted Remain but now Juncker/the vote/arrogant EU have changed my mind 3) Remainers are divisive! 4) Project Fear...

A forced No Deal outcome supported by almost no-one would be considerably more divisive than a referendum. It would also make everyone poorer. The Brexit copy-writers are really panicking if this is their new line.

People: ‘Historians in the future will judge this harshly’ Historians: ‘We already have thoughts.’ People: ‘I wonder how the history books will explain this?’ Historians: ‘Well actually-‘ People: ‘We’ll have to wait and see...’ Historians: ‘Oh for the love of God.’

As a member of both, I fear the exact same hüsran (think dissapointment and then multiply by at least 14) when reality hits.

The only group more optimistic than Remainers are opposition voters in Turkey at every election.

But we are now in a situation where the only possible option may be No Deal. Let’s be honest, no-one thought they were voting for that and far fewer than 50% would vote for it now. Everyone knows this so avoiding a second referendum is frighteningly undemocratic.

Putting the word “managed” before No Deal doesn’t make it any more palatable. Playing silly buggers with the name of the worst possible outcome is highest-Brexit idiocy. And given how Brexit has been “managed”, I’d rather the clowns in charge left it unmanaged if it comes to it.

Border agents have thrown out 3586 jugs of water left for migrants in the desert. They did this knowing that 7000 migrants have died attempting to cross. THIS is why the death of Jackeline Caal, the 7yo migrant who died of thirst in US custody, should be referred to as murder.

Alcoholism is not an excuse for abuse of women, for that is what this is. I seriously can’t comprehend how this man still has power.

There is literally only one thing that unites Brexiters and Remainers when it comes to Europe: Juncker is a vile man who has done this kind of shit for too long. When will he be sacked?

I’ve obviously written flippantly but I should note that Prof. Dr. Berahitdin Albayrak was by all accounts a very accomplished academic whose loss will be felt deeply. These conspiracy theories, in my mind, denigrate a man of science and stop rational accounting of his death.

But if, in some weird alternative reality, shadowy intelligence agencies are really using train crashes to take out individual targets, someone should really tell them about guns, knives and poison. Seems only fair.

Turkey has so many train crashes because it is a one-party state where the leadership has eroded meritocracy and accountability. I’m sure it comforts the government and its supporters to think train crashes are the fault of shadowy exotic enemies but no - the cause is at home.

Putting aside that Turkey can’t even build a car, let alone a space vessel, why the fuck would anyone use a train crash as an assassination? These are people who can land spacecraft on a penny several millions of miles away. You don’t think they’d think of poisoning his lahmacun?

Turkish conspiracy theories are fucking nuts. Apparently NASA (or some other random shadowy organisation) crashed a train in Turkey to kill an academic who would have otherwise led a rival space agency. That gets you 2k retweets. People are truly thick.

Sometimes people stand on the left hand side of the escalator on the Tube. And then, when you call the police to complain, they tell you to bugger off as if you’re the real criminal.
