I don't know. I'm just making myself sad again by what looks like, in hindsight, the manipulations of an abuser to isolate a young girl from her friends and family as he slowly took over her life.Katelyn may still have been the transphobic, racist, person she is today without him

I’ve been friends with one of her exes for 6-7 years and we’ve talked about her in the past. He honestly is so heartbroken and out of all the years I’ve known him, I can honestly say I’ve never seen him so hurt. He told me he felt like it was his fault she became this way>>

After reading through all this stuff I came to a similar conclusion. She's a victim of circumstance and has been corrupted. She's allowed go take whatever path she likes.. That's a human right. But the relationship doesn't look like a healthy one. Just my two cents.

Go get some rest. You did some heavy lifting these last few days. I feel incredibly bad for her lately. It's clear she's looking for a place to fit, but she has absolutely *no one* around her either looking out for her or actually calling her BS when she goes too far

I very nearly went down a similar path as kabs when it came to allowing a (much older) abuser manipulate me, it was my friends telling me what was up that helped me smarten up and cut communications with said person. I just feel sad that apparently she either >

-Didn't have friends who tried to help her, or the ones who did weren't close enough to make a difference. Seeing someone so gross/lying/manipulative take over a kids life just to groom them is...Terrifying.
