Spinsolve Ease-of-use
This video shows how easy it is to use the Magritek Spinsolve NMR spectrometer. We measure three different samples and illustrate how loading and unloading the standard 5mm tubes is very straightforward, no spinning required. The software is simple and clean and intuitive to use, making starting a scan very fast. The system itself has terrific sensitivity and resolution providing beautiful spectra in just ten seconds.
Spinsolve Sensitivity
This video shows the superb sensitivity of the Magritek Spinsolve NMR spectrometer. We perform measurements on Ibuprofen samples at 2 M, 200 mM, 20 mM and 2 mM and show that even at 2 mM, corresponding to just 0.2mg of sample in 0.5 mL of solvent, we get terrific results in just over one minute.
Spinsolve Throughput
In a high use environment such as a student teaching lab it is important that the students are able to make their measurements quickly and easily, and to get consistently excellent spectra. In this video we show how easy and fast it is to run many room temperature samples sequentially on the Spinsolve Benchtop NMR Spectrometer while maintaining superb spectra.
Spinsolve Multinuclear
Switching between nuclei is very easy in the Spinsolve spectrometer – just press a button in the software. In this video we show how simple and fast it is to switch between Proton and Fluorine measurements, illustrated with samples of Trifluoroethanol, and Bromofluorobenzene.
Mobile Spinsolve Benchtop NMR at The University of Queensland
In this video Dr. Philip Sharpe talks about how he uses the Spinsolve Benchtop NMR spectrometer in the undergraduate teaching and research labs at The University of Queensland. One interesting feature of Philip’s setup is his mounting of the Spinsolve benchtop NMR spectrometer on a trolley with an uninterruptible power supply – enabling easy transport between student laboratories with immediate availability on arrival.
Spinsolve 60 Launch Video
In this video you can see the launch of the Spinsolve 60 at the 2016 American Chemical Society Spring meeting in San Diego.
Webinar: Practical use of 13C Benchtop NMR Spectroscopy in an Undergraduate Laboratory
In this webinar we demonstrate a 1D 13C-based approach to teaching NMR using several simple but instructive examples that illustrate important concepts such as chemical shift, magnetic equivalence, chirality and more. We will show how sample and experiment choice can enable 1D 13C NMR to be used in practical ways in a teaching lab.
Webinar: Mystery Solved! Learn How Industry Uses Benchtop NMR
Some of the applications covered in this webinar include;
- Verifying raw materials being used in the neutraceutical industry – Ascorbic Acid is used as an additive in many foods and dietary supplements. The current USP methods used for verifying sample identification are time consuming and expensive. In this webinar we demonstrate an alternative, NMR-based method for ascorbic acid identification that provides a number of significant advantages over the existing approved methods.
- Measuring purity of products in the pharmaceutical industry – The purity of APIs that are used in medicines are tightly controlled by the USP. Chromatography is the most common method for quantification of pharmaceuticals, but it can be a time consuming process. In this webinar demonstrate how we can meet the USP measurement specifications for the purity of Lidocaine.
Webinar: Thinking Outside the (Benchtop) Box – High-Field NMR Techniques on Benchtop Instruments
In this webinar you will learn about:
- High-field techniques that are now possible on benchtop instruments.
- Applications and problems solved by advancements in benchtop NMR spectroscopy.
- The size, ease-of-use, and economic advantages of benchtop instruments over high-field machines.
In this webinar we illustrate how a number of well-established and modern high-field NMR techniques, such as 2D, non-uniform sampling (NUS), and pure shift experiments, can be implemented on a benchtop NMR system to solve problems and applications previously considered beyond reach.
Webinar: Uncover the potential of Benchtop NMR in Forensics Labs
In this webinar you will learn about:
- Analytical properties of benchtop NMR uniquely suited to drug identification and quantification.
- How to distinguish related compounds, including isomers, using benchtop NMR.
- The potential for benchtop NMR to become a standard technique in forensics laboratories.
Advances in benchtop NMR spectroscopy overcome many of the limitations of high field by providing a simple to use, portable NMR spectrometer that fits on the laboratory bench. This webinar demonstrates examples where benchtop NMR can be used to distinguish between related compounds, such as isomers, and where other techniques lack the discriminating power or simple sample preparation. We also demonstrate the quantitative capabilities of benchtop NMR with forensics examples.
Webinar: Reaction Monitoring in Real-time with Benchtop NMR
This 40 minute presentation outlines the key capabilities of the Spinsolve benchtop NMR spectrometer relevant to reaction monitoring, followed by detailed discussion of several reaction monitoring experiments performed by Magritek and our customers.
