INGO PUHL /// CO-FOUNDER - SOUTH POLE GROUP
I believe that the world today is full of opportunities and business models that have the potential to disrupt and transform how we consume, use energy, feed ourselves, communicate and transact with each other. I believe that this transformation is driven by technology and social change that enables global collaboration and generating shared value. I also believe that there are vast opportunities in relation to social assets, such as the provision of services for the bottom of the pyramid or the empowerment of women. As the rate of innovation increases, almost everything is up for grabs and preservers of the status-quo will be dinosaurs quickly.

I am a founding partner of The South Pole Group, a global market leader in carbon markets and related advisory. My experience is in the design and use of results/performance-based finance systems (aka carbon markets) to accelerate investments in renewable energy in developing countries and as a means to facilitate cooperation actions in the spirit of the collaborative economy.

I am intrigued by the possibilities that blockchain technology offers to accelerate action for good and across all kinds of activities in the economy and society and at this point evaluate the use of this technology in my fields of interest.

A few years ago, I have expanded my interests to to the use of results-based finance mechanism to accelerate investments in women (www.wplus.org) and have become a mentor/advisor/investor to a venture that produces a high-convenience (fast moving consumer good), delicious and healthy frozen superfood smoothie based on spirulina micro-algae for human consumption (as alternative, sustainable source of protein (and other beneficial nutrients) (whapower.com).
