Are people still bitching about consenting adults roleplaying as being younger? I'm just wondering, cause that seems pretty goddamn stupid and I keep seeing shit about it.

ok i’m glad we agree on that. i just.. can’t wrap my head around why sexual underage roleplay and art/writing would be any different, but maybe i’m missing something
We need to differentiate the "art/writing" aspect from the type that only supports prurient interests first, because even taboo topics can have serious literary or artistic merit. The distinction is a risk of harm and interest. While I can fully agree that the concept of /1

have tended to link age play back to a form of Submissive/Dominant relationship control, where the idea is to give up control to the partner, and the age play where one partner is infantilized is an aspect of that. Sexuality is weird.

Sidenote: "Serious Literary and Artistic Merit" would be things like books exploring the effect of sexual abuse, not glorifying it, that include a scene of it.
