So here’s what I’ve learned from basic retail and being someone who hates peope: the fear of the unknown is going to hurt more than protect. How many pedos did I make sandiwiches for at panera? How many times did I help an abusive person? The wuestion itself is crippling

So I had to redirect that from “Am I bad?” And the answer is no. You can only truly know you and yourself. When it comes to light someone you know is doing bad things, condemn them but don’t linger on the “Did I make a mistake friending them”, just know where you stand-

And have confidence in that. We all know sociopaths. We’ve all been banboozled. And it is not our fault. It’s also not our job to be alert 100% of the time and be paranoid. The best thing to do is to go through life knowing yourself, where your morals are, and surrounding youself

With likeminded people. If someone turns out to be bad, bummer! Cut them out, keep on rolling. It took me (and is still taking me) years to get to the point where I realize I’m not responsible for my friends, just myself. And to keep going and doing good.

Thank you ceasie I've never really been in a situation like this Because I never really got close to so many people before the fandom And before then I only had a few close friends But now there's probably dozens of people I have associated with and it just makes me uneasy

Definitely take a break! Take a break and disconnect for a week or so, outside of commissioners and patrons, just take a vacation. Social interaction is a draining experience that is work, work mentally and physically. Take you time, log out for a bit and see how you feel?

It’s not mff, it’s the fact the furry fandom hosts (and sometimes excuses) zoophiles, pedophiles and more. The recent ousting of Kero has people snapping at and accusing others in the youtube community falsely. It’s just not a good time to be in the fandom :(
