wait... why was there a "birthday" assigned to the account anyway? or did twitter actually base the age of the user on the first tweet date? if it's the latter, that's really dumb, and is a gigantic lapse in judgement for twitter employees.
-
We were updating information and using our "birthdate" they determined we were only 8 when we started Tweeting.
-
This is both hilarious and sad D:

That's exactly how we feel!

I can't believe there aren't different protocols for accounts that are part of an organization, business, or website. O_O Here's to hoping you guys can get the account back without too much hassle.
-
To be fair, AFTER they froze our account, THEN they asked if we were a business... So... The order is just a bit off.
-
*Bangs head.* Gah, Twitter! Automation isn't the answer to everything! :(
-
how dare you challenge the Holy Word of Silicon Valley i sentence you to death by basilisk
-
Whoa! No need to sic mythological creatures on me. Even if I'm turned to stone, constant embarrassments and data breaches will continue to challenge that Holy Word. XD
-
that's not the kind of basilisk i meant, although i'd concur with the "mythological" part regardless http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Roko%27s_basilisk …
-
Whoops. Though I've learned something new. Thanks for the link. :)
