CW TRANSPHOBIA A friend of mine was part of a discord for 4 years until today. She asked someone in the server to stop using an offensive term ans was promptly removed and belittled by the admin. DO NOT join this server. And please block their twitter @/furry_menageriepic.twitter.com/xU5ctrOtIR

Cool tweet. Next.

Thank you for showing us how far both your understanding and intelligence goes. Clearly you have no arguments on the matter: You're being offended by a word because that's the hip thing to do in your side of the community. Indeed, next.
-
But that’s not the problem: It’s telling someone else that it’s more accurate. There are tons of words that are still nsfw but less insulting. D***-girl, for instance. If someone is upset, a civil person doesn’t tell them they have no right to be upset.

As a community owner who has to take care of nearly 1,000 people, I have every right and indeed *need* to dismiss unnecessary drama. There aren't enough hours in the day to take care of everyone if that wasn't the case. The below is the context which was apparently 'offensive'.pic.twitter.com/XwntD6AI5a

It's very offensive.
-
We've also seen the abuse that followed it. And the moderator siding with the abuser against the abused. You are just a terrible moderator and a worse human being.
-
Being a moderator doesn't mean taking one side. We understand that some trans folk have been attacked with this word, but they must also understand some use those words to describe other genders without intent to offend anyone. We're all fighting over the meaning of a word...
-
Right now I'm particularly upset that some people refuse even the idea that herm is a legitimate gender. There is a difference between someone transitioning from male to female (or vice versa) and someone who actively wishes to be a different in-between gender.

I'm also sick of the whole "there's only two genders, male and female" bullshit. You'd expect more openness than that from a trans person, especially since that's a line anti-trans folk like to use. If I was a shemale I wouldn't be taking this naturalist bullshit lightly.
-
Shem@le isn't a gender term. Is a derogatory name. Thank you. Next.pic.twitter.com/BKzugSdzAe
-
How detailed and elaborate. I am like, so convinced right now. And you people accuse others of not being able to have a discussion...
-
You saying shem@le is a gender. I think we're past conversation
-
Yeah, because flash news buddy: A female with a penis is in fact a new gender, neither male nor female. And no I don't give a shit whether nature produced it or not. To me personally, it is a beautiful gender too.
-
A female.. With male genitalia.. Is a female. You literally just called them a female???? Go read a book
-
Because that's the closest approximation I have with the current language! We can't have an actual word describing it, because if we make one folks like you scream that it's a derogatory term against trans people.
-
This isn't rocket science. Trans
Shem@le

Herm is also offensive, and neither "shemale" nor "herm" are genders. They're sexualised words designed to objectify intersex people. If you have an issue with that, talk to an actual intersex person about it.

Pointing out that some words are slurs against trans ppl is kind of the opposite of transphobic, ya dingus Also I'm non-binary, so your whole "you only believe there's two genders" shit kind of falls flat, don't you think?

I can't give you a word where the meaning will never change. I'm not the language police, I can't proscribe people from changing or culture from moving on. It's also not my place to define new words for people to use, I am however very happy to stop people throwing slurs around
-
Finally, you definitely don't get to make demands of me and my time when you called me a bigot and literally tried to erase my own gender and experiences for disagreeing with you. Have a good day

You don't know shit about me or how I "classify people with different gender identities". My girlfriend is bigender, I'm non-binary, and my friends group runs the gamut from cis binary people to trans genderfluid people. None of us use slurs to identify ourselves out of respect.
