A year or so after I first designed it, and a month or so after I actually finished the hardware, I finally get to use my Electronic Load for the purpose I originally designed it: testing current probespic.twitter.com/PyCK0edG9s

I love it - add me to the list who want a writeup. So top there is your cobbled together electronic load. What are the two boxes below it, and what's the DUT? "Current probes" are highly relevant to my interests :) This wouldn't be the first @tindie RT this week to fix my probs!

Middle is a 24bit voltmeter, though rarely used currently as its precision, while better than anything else in my workshop, is still way below what it could be. Bottom is a 4-wire resistance meter, based onhttps://hackaday.com/2017/01/24/milliohm-meter-version-1-5/ …

DUT is one of my Oscilloscope Current Probe adapters, which I sell on @tindiehttps://www.tindie.com/products/leonerd/oscilloscope-current-probe-adapter/ …

Are you selling the Electronic load as a kit? I was looking at the Re:Load Pro, but the guy making it has vanished.

It's mostly already a kit. It's the Mighty Watt v2.5 (the version 3 is now on Tindie), and a few boards of my own which are also there. I might consider selling a kit or a pre-built unit, but realistically it'd be at least $200

The products in my unit are https://www.tindie.com/products/Kaktus/mightywatt-70w-electronic-load-for-arduino/ … https://www.tindie.com/products/leonerd/atmega328pb-isolated-application-board/ … https://www.tindie.com/products/leonerd/oled-1106-front-panel-module/ … plus a custom bridge board containing a PCF8574 and ADC1115. Were I to make/sell these, I'd probably spin my own analog board including those onboard.

I’ll have a look later, thanks. Do you have any spare bridge boards I could buy from you?

Oh that was a totally one-off hack. DIP-sized parts on protoboard. Seen here in the middle inside the case. For making these again I have plans for a custom analog frontend which changes a few details from the MightyWatt and includes these parts onboardpic.twitter.com/ZLji77h5Tj

Thats a sexy little diy stack. I need one of these. Do you have a blog or project log of the resolution and precision you are dealing with. I have all the pieces to make something like this but have not had a chance to start on it.

A number of people have been asking that. I think at this point I may have to write something up, yes. It's a range of equipment I have vague plans to build and sell, as it all connects together.

Is that an off the shell enclosure? It looks really nice! Do you have a build log or anything if that sort, would love to have a read of the design process.
