    Which is why supply chain duplication, starting now, keeps healthy pressure on. If we don't, their leverage--and the pain of our switching costs--only increases.

    Turkey has a choice to make: it can have the F-35, or it can have the Russian S-400. The problem will be untangling Turkey from the F-35 supply chain should it choose the latter.

    It's not the grammar police of whom he'll run afoul. Recall that truth is an absolute defense against libel, and if it isn't accurate, Manafort has to show reckless disregard or malice. Not happening.

    Manafort calling the report "deliberately libelous" is at best redundant, as defamation requires actual malice. If he's not careful, Manafort also will get on the radar of the grammar…

    In his defense, when he was doing it, there was no reason to hide it. FARA enforcement was laughable.

    So Manafort is either hoping Trump will pardon him or just incredibly - like incredibly - bad at being a criminal.

    When I lived in the midwest and travelled the Ohio Turnpike regularly, it felt like the rhythm of the economy could be seen in the parking lot of the Lordstown plant as I drove by. Wow.

    Wait, so tariffs that protect one small industry at the expense of many others will be a net job killer, because they pick a small subset of winners and exact those costs on many losers? But the President said this would preserve American jobs--he wasn't mistaken, was he?

    What if instead of sending 5k troops to the border, we had sent 5k caseworkers to review + process visa applications? In addition to averting moral crisis, it also would‘ve saved enormous amt of resources. But we don’t talk about the financial recklessness of GOP admins, do we?
