    Terrible idea. It’s like they are trying to drive Palestinians into political bankruptcy so they’ll “sell low” on a bad peace deal. Far more likely result is chaos & instability (and greater costs to US afterwards).

    The US partnered with the PYD (and urged them to create the SDF cover) knowing full well they are a PKK branch. Thanks to U.S support, the PYD is able to maintain governance structures in Syria & collect taxes, which are then sent to the central PKK command. No surprise there.
