    It's just astonishing that the persecution of the Uyghur Muslims by 's government isn't the lead story all day, every day. A million people have been in camps. Now we find Han Chinese have been sent to Uyghur homes to report on them being too Muslim.

    Containment is a regime-change strategy, and in that sense, surely. The window for much more has closed: after failing to prevent Communist victory and blocking MacArthur's war, the last chance was in the early 1960s during the cultural revolution; we opted the other way.

    Shouldn’t an important U.S. foreign policy goal of the next couple of decades be regime change in China?
