And later it was Hashd, with some local yazidi commanders joining it. Those who don't have influence in Sinjar are those who helped ISIS (Turkey) or let ISIS commit his massacre (PDK's peshmerga) because of an opportunistic deal.

But what is baffling is that PKK's insurgency seems actually to be losing in Turkey (less support among kurdish populations + military defeats) while its affiliates abroad (YPG and YBS) have grown, profiting from the vacuum partly created by brutal turkish policies there.
-
I don't think sympathies towards the organization decreased, but when the military devastated the cities, much spirit of active resistance was broken.

Notable it seems
#child_soldiers took part in#PKK operations in#Sinjar -
First time I hear about that. Do you have proof for that claim?

Pkk made a big mistake by creating YPS and ordering the battles within Kurdish held Towns. Pkk didn’t came to help YPS as promised so many young girls and boys (most of them are academics) killed for this mistake and HDP lost many of its Bases.
-
None of your assumptions are even close to right my dear. Since the beginning of PKK until now the popularity of PKK among Kurdish nation not only in North Kurdistan but also other parts of Kurdistan is increasing (There are many evidences to prove that)
-
How about no? In Bashur, except for youth of Sulaimani, PKK support is decreasing by the day. The youth in Hewler used to support them in large numbers. That is no longer the case. We support them based on principle, but none wants to live under their iron fist rule.
-
Can you get more specific on the iron fist rule? Would you say that this is in accordance with the apoist ideology itself or is it old authoritarian communist structures that are still strong within the organization?

And compare. How the PKK gained support among Ezîdîs in Sinjar, and how Turkey gained hate in Kobane...pic.twitter.com/397cMoVvXm
