    Shuhada al Sharqiyyah fighters surrendered to the National Army. With a one day operation, Turkey succeeded to disband a thuggish faction who committed crimes against local population. Acc to National Army, operation was the first step. More will follow

    Some pictures of the conference in Al-Rai to choose a flag for Syrian Turkmens. Additional Info: Syrian Turkmens were always using different flags symbolizing their ethnicity. Now they have one common. However, they still will use this flag next to the revolutionary flag

    I was told from Ahrar al Sharqiyyah that this operation is done due to the thuggish behavior of Shuhada al Sharqiyyah. My source claimed that it will improve Turkey‘s relation to eastern Syrians as this faction caused many troubles. He confirmed that they consist of ~400 fighters

    Alleged reports of a truce being signed were fake. Clashes in Afrin still continue. Let’s wait and see how this will end as Shuheda al Sharqiyyah visually proved used heavy armours to repel the joint operation.

    For the first time Turkey directly intervene to disband a faction by force. It could become a testing operation for any further in Idlib to disband radical groups. Turkish authorities are learning very fast as seen in Sfrin after ES operation

    National Army , the police and Turkish Armed Forces imposed curfew in the region. In a joint operation which will be speerheaded by the police, YPG cells & thugs are the target.…

    Clarification: The target is Shuheda al Sharqiyyah, not Ahrar al Sharqiyyah. I was told from Ahrar al Sharqiyyah that they are participating in the operations together with the police and Turkish Armed Forces

    During the Obama administration, the US explicitly rejected to equip & train factions against ISIS if they fought against Assad (& logically also Iran) Now, the US wants to contain Iran by supporting same force instead of factions who fought Iran constantly. Good luck with it!
