U r flipping the issue. The truth is catastrophic cz a de facto King ordered 2 kill his citizen in his country’s consulate in & wanted it 2 appear as if Ankara was responsible 4 his “disappearance”. Originally the plan ws meant 2 harm Turkey & he has 2 pay the price 4 both

MBS could rule Saudi for 50 years. And this Administration - more than any of its predecessors -has attached America to his reckless rule like a barnacle to side of a boat.

Saudis had hard challenge in that they wanted to behave like Syria & Russia but also maintain good PR with American elite institutions. They almost bribed their way to success before going too far by actually murdering someone from one of the institutions they were trying to woo.

Notable in comments about CIA report to reporters on AF1 is that he falls back immediately on # of jobs Saudis create in US. Taken to extreme, that argument suggests that as long as you contribute to the American economy all else - murder included - is forgiven.

Now, a standard part of MBS's bio is that the CIA concluded he ordered the assassination of a prominent journalist. Is it tenable to travel around the world representing Saudi Arabia with an albatross like that? Unclear. 2/2
