    Saudi ambassador denies he phoned Khashoggi & reassured him he could go to the consulate

    As we told the Washington Post the last contact I had with Mr. Khashoggi was via text on Oct 26 2017. I never talked to him by phone and certainly never suggested he go to Turkey for any reason. I ask the US government to release any information regarding this claim.

    Most fascinating in this report is the role of MBS’s brother, which should turn attention back to those in the US who might have been involved in this directly or indirectly. Known individuals communicated between Khashoggi & Saud al-Qahtani. An area worth focusing on too.

    This CIA assessment is spot on. No way in hell MbS didn’t direct or at least know of the clearly planned murder. “The accepted position is that there is no way this happened without him being aware or involved,” said a U.S. official familiar with the CIA’s conclusions.

    If this is true, the development aligns very well with my article above. The Middle East is shifting, and the driving force behind this shift needs to be understood if anyone hopes to bring about change or preempt possible unraveling:
