It’s 8:00 am and I’m officially on my billable hours right now so trolls will not be entertained unless I receive the payment upfront via Zelle, Venmo, or credit card. Time is money. Time I don’t want to spend on you is even more money.

Actually, Oxford’s Guy Goodwin-Gill and I wrote a piece in 2015 that made an argument that could interpreted in similar vein vis-a-vis refugee-generating states. Here it is:

Terrible. The 3-star flag is a symbol of Syria’s all too brief experience of democracy. Now it is being appropriated for Jihadist purposes.

I will, once I get to ask Nikos Sampson about his coup.

Is competing to be the first person to score a hat-trick in electoral defeats? I am fan. I am extremely disappointed that she didn't win, especially in her second shot, but you can't keep nominating Hillary until she wins. Enough.

Steve, your Fox show rails against "elitists".You were at a private school, then Oxford, then part of Cameron's austerity-imposing government, now live in a Silicon Valley home worth more than $20m. Did you agree to some kind of a dare to see how long you could pull this off?

Grad school was like the part of Great British Bake-off where the recipe only says “now make frangipane” and people just stare at the camera. 😧“Now make research.” 😧

I am seeing a lot of people upset and outraged - completely justifiably - by Trump's absence in Paris. But I think of it as a relief - a solemn, important ceremony without this horrible man. It is more dignified and meaningful without him.

I'm from the Middle East. This picture moves me nearly to tears - curiously, more than I find it moves young Europeans. Do young Europeans even realize what has been achieved? It's nothing less than sacred, because peace is sacred, because human life is sacred.

Who invited the Greek army to cross the Aegean and rape and plunder the entirety of Western Anatolia? Let me give you a hint: The first letter is B, followed by R-I-T-A-I-N. Venizelos nominated Mustafa Kemal for a Nobel Peace Prize, ffs. Please shut down your account.

So, this is paradoxical. By your logic, Frederike can tell Abdulla that he’s wrong but I can’t tell her that she’s wrong, which is only possible if you take Abdulla and Frederike as in-group while I’m not, which gives her a say that I don’t have. Sounds quite absurd to me.

Is there really such a thing as an “Ataturk cult”? Defeating invaders, saving your nation’s dignity, setting up a Republic, kicking Islamist butt, & fast-forwarding Anatolia 300 years on the timeline of modern civilization; sounds like fun. When do they meet? Where do I sign up?
