>>784622054The first, and a very difficult step, is admitting you have a problem. That's no issue. There's nothing wrong with having a problem. Especially one that can be fixed. Go back to my warrior analogy. Would the warrior go into battle without his sword because "accepting help means I have a problem and that makes me less of a man"? No, the smart thing to do would be to acknowledge you need the help, seek the help, accept the help, and stand as much of a fighting chance as everyone else.
I'm not sure how to help you understand that having a problem is something you should be willing to accept without feeling like less of a person.
I'm not sure how to get it across to you but I'll keep trying until I do. The worst thing you can do is lie to yourself. Take a look at yourself and ask yourself, sincerely ask yourself, "Do I need the help? Is there something about me that's not right that I am able to fix?" That's the first of 2 very big steps. The second is seeking the help.
You have 2 options. One is continue to believe you are find and continue to push away friends and attempt to take your life and ruin friendships you hold very dear.
The second you have 2 routes to take. 1 is understand that seeking help does NOT make you weak or less of a man. Everyone needs help at some point in their life. Some more than others. Some for different reasons. It's like saying "I don't need school because I should know all this stuff. I feel like someone explaining it to me makes me less of a man" but that's a very nonsensical way of thinking of things.
The second route is to swallow your pride and seek the help. Explain to them your thoughts on seeking help and explain to them your situation.
Please at least see a doctor, my friend.
