I-fans’ diversity weakens us, even assuming enough of us had the willpower to effectively boycott, usually only certain segments get offended by certain thingsBecause Kfans have learned the only useful method to get BigHit to actually do something when there's an issue going on. Tweeting the company won't ever solve anything wrong in other parts of the fandom.

I think that Jimin knew just what he was wearing. Do I think him the devil? No, he was just insensitive and thoughtless. Many people are. Tbh, I didn't even realize something was wrong with the shirt and people pointed it out. I thought it was just historical facts on a shirt and that's it. But now that people pointed out how it seems like a celebration of the incident... Well, I stand corrected.
Do I think it warrants an apology? Not necessarily, unless it blows up more and the japanes fans or public actually call for it. It was offensive, but not something that was intended to offend on Jimin's part. It's not also something extraordinary or extreme. He's a celebrity too, in a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation. Also, sometimes silence is the best way to bury an issue.

I do think I-fans have a hard time being organized to get anything done. It's funny considering international fanbases have 10 times more followers than korean ones... But to get BH's attention all you have to do is spam their mails and the fancafe. Maybe a hashtag if there's a real big issue involving the boys' reputation on Twitter... but otherwise I don't think they'll care much about what's going on.

they don't deserve their japanese popularity when their whole company is so ignorant on this issue

I had a skateboard that I rode for 3 months without realizing all of the graphic on it was related to drugs. I only started thinking about it when a friend pointed it out.
Korean liberation day t-shirt is fine. Having an atomic bomb reference on it is not.
Everything written on the t-shirt is in English. Jimin does not understand English to the point that he would understand what is said on the shirt. It's pretty common to see asians wear clothes that have questionable English text written on them be it political or not. The ones who wear them have no idea. Why didn't the stylist or Jimin himself put the puzzle pieces together? Maybe noone just paid attention. They wear thousands of shirts in a year, they are always in a rush and it is highly likely that they don't think about every small detail on their clothes when they are on their "off day".
Wearing this shirt was wrong but I don't think Jimin actually knew at that time what exactly was he wearing. My wild guess is, it wasn't intentional.
How to address this?
I don't know, it's very difficult. Does he even have to?
If I had to explain my druggie skateboard:
I have never done drugs nor do I have any intention on doing them. I didn't realize what was on the board when I bought it. I just thought the colors were cool.
(not saying drugs and atomic bombs are on the same level, but you get what i mean)

Personally, the best thing at this point is for everyone who has worn the shirt to acknowledge they were wrong wearing it. Either Jimin or the other idols because I think it is just as bad. It should not be worn by anyone, period.
I don't understand how such a shirt was even popular and how people thought it was a good idea to wear it. People were hurt and thought it was insensitive and they should be heard and their feeling should be taken seriously.
But I am afraid this is a damn if you do, damn if you don't situation and unfortunately I don't know if anything will happen.

I will agree with you if Jimin wear that t-shirt alone without anyone his friends, members, staff, & all related to Bts not with him when he wear it.. This is happened when all his members with him, all Bts staff with him, and already passed all check from producer & director to release that video..
With that comment you saying it's mean all people whom with him that time is stupid, and not know english like him.. Hahaha it's really delutional statement..
In my conclusion of this is Jimin maybe not have intention, but if he is have intention to atomic bomb then he really bad person i think..
And all members & staffs whom with him is responsibility for it too., because if they care to Jimin they should stop him if he did something's wrong.. That is the Real Friends/Comopanion..
But if you want and accept Jimin & all peoples whom with him that time get called dumb, stupid, and ignorant people.. Then it's your choice, i will not continue about it..

I can't read kanji and the first thing that I do when I see a shirt with kanji on it is asking what does it mean? maybe I would like it aesthetically but I would never buy it if I'm not 100% sure of the translation. And I'm not a public figure.
