Returning to peace talks & resolving the Kurdish question peacefully is the only mechanism to end violence in . It's also the only way to democratise Turkey & stopping its aggressive regional policies. It is sad US becomes part of the problem not part of the resolution.

If the wants to end violence in , it can't achieve anything thru arresting Cemil Bayik, Murad Karayilan & Duran Kalkan, even if all the freedom fighters r being arrested, the Kurdish question remain there. has already called US to mediate b/n Turkey & Kurds.

If only to prevent ISIS from regaining a foothold in disputed territory, it is in the US’ interest to get the Turks & Kurds to cooperate, which will require clarity re US intentions & a commitment to tackling the vexing issue of Turkish-Kurdish relations.
