    Correct. The guy is openly engaged in using the powers of his office to manipulate the results of an election. That's what we call it when we see it in Turkey, that's what we should call it at home.

    Keep in mind that the guy responsible for overseeing this is running for governor and benefits from depressed voter turnout. This is banana republic nonsense, and in any country we’d call it what it is, rather than “long lines and malfunctioning machines”

    This starts right and then goes off the rails.

    Washington is trying to appease Ankara. Erdogan's Khashoggi evidence would blow up America's spot in the region. And without the Turkish military, the long-term plan for post-ISIS Syria is impossible. Erdogan is in an excellent position right now.

    Had them at 41-41, because only the Wizards would continue to build around a team in NBA purgatory. Most depressing/loathsome team I've rooted for that didn't pull guns on each other.

    For the record, I had them as a playoff team that "should talent their way to 43 or 44 wins even if they all hate each other." From my preseason tiers/power rankings column, which is what I'm guessing you're referencing. Incredibly even that was optimistic.

    It's not inarticulate. It's just a really bad idea. But glad that someone(s) pointed out just how hellacious this would be for POC.

    I took down an inarticulate tweet. I wasn't suggesting a police state, I was pointing out that we are not safe anywhere - our places of worship, the theater, schools, malls, even yoga studios. Trump is not keeping us safe, but rather stoking hate and fear sending 15,000 troops.

    The Republican Party is full of insane folks: Here is what one candidate spewed out: “There will never be peace in Jerusalem until the day comes that every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.” Both Jews and Muslims.

    NY doesn't have better coffee than other places in the US, and the US has shit coffee compared to most of the world.

    Tanzanian baristas, specifically in Dar es Salaam, put those in New York to shame. Best coffee I've had in a while.
