The fact that an unknown, unashamed liberal can even compete in ruby red Texas, let alone force the GOP to humiliate Cruz by bringing in ex nemesis trump AND forces them to spend millions of dollars on what should be a safe state, is an absolute victory for Beto and the DNC.

Actually, it has turned into a sinkhole for Democrat dollars that probably could have made an impact in other races. In that way it's a two-fold win for Republicans. Cruz is still the Lion of the Senate and other Dems who might have had a chance in other places have lost.

The real winners are the mostly conservative Texans who own the local TV and radio stations and collected millions of out-of-state dollars from East coast and Cali liberals to run Beto ads
