I fortunately/unfortunately wasn't able to go to this con, and it definitely sucks if you've already put money down :/ if you still want to go and use it as a time to protest I say go for it, I'm sure many others would be with you! and I actually haven't thought about that-

I do have interest in contacting media outlets about it, it would be an easy way to draw attention to it and fast- my only problem would be that it could possibly draw attention to the community as a whole, especially if its seen from an outside point of view which would suck

in my opinion, if the fandom as a whole gets a bad rep for it, we deserve it for allowing it to fester in our spaces. Nazis furs, pedo furs, etc need to be scared of showing their faces, not encouraged. We've slacked on this for far too long.

I see where you're coming from! There's a decent ammount of people trying to remove the rotten parts of the fandom, but even more who sit by in the name of tolerance when they should be trying to do something, or at the very least letting others know they think its wrong.
