I just don’t understand why not discuss it when you guys have discussed “leaks” before whether it turned out real or not.
Shoutout to all the YouTubers who helped propagate the damaging "shill" conspiracy theories about us for choosing to not discuss the Grinch leak. And now I'm moving on and hopefully won't ever have to think about the Grinch ever again--unless the movie turns out really good :)

I'm STILL trying to wrap my head around the logic of "Nintendo paid these people off to say the leak is fake when it's actually real." Like if real, well people already saw the characters so trying to have people falsely say it was fake wouldn't make people forget the characters.

At first it did seem strange that you guys weren’t discussing it, but I completely get where you’re coming from. If you had good reason to believe it was fake, why bother? The community did not handle this leak very nicely. Love you guys, keep being awesome :)

There was a lot of evidence going for it. The only way you could have known it was fake was if you had some sort of inside knowledge.

It was obviously fake because Banjo and Kazooie were in it. Phil Spencer said earlier this year that he would like for them to be in Smash, so if they were already going to be in it, he wouldn't have said anything.

That line of thinking is false. The context was “would you like to see Banjo in Smash” Phil Spencer is a human being. If he was asked if he wanted to see Banjo in Smash he could answer what he wants. If he was asked IS Banjo in Smash is another story
