  9. So, as an aside, the ISIS report warns about further radicalization of these extremists in ISIS prisons. Basically says that extended periods of imprisonment without debating them renders them bitter. A lesson for governments from the horse's mouth..

  10. ISIS says such extremism existed before "the fight against the Sahwat" (meaning the Syrian rebels in Jan. 2014), but became visible after it. This tracks nicely with my analysis of this phenomenon, most recently here: a minor current contained by IS Core

  11. The report confirms some known details about this current. Importantly, it concludes that the foreigners-dominated current was contained after a campaign by the group, which led to the killing of 70 extremists, and 50 of them fled to Turkey, and some of them returned home.
