waiting on the official word from the officer and if he can even share it with us. Hopefully just because the state couldn't grab him, doesn't mean the Feds can't. Trying to stay positive something will happen. There's no way this man can go free. Will post updates as they come.
As for our future activities involving the investigation: We're done with it and have been done since the HD went out. We all agreed as a group that once the officials had that HD, IT WAS OVER. We worked our asses off, paused our personal lives and just want to heal from>>
all that disgusting shit we had to sift thru. We will say time and time again that there is LITERALLY nothing else we can do. We exhausted all the resources we had and the ball is now in the court of the police and agents involved. We don't get a say of how things will play>>
out, all we can do is hope what we gathered is enough of a headstart to make things happen. Thanks to those who support us and want to join our groups. It's really cool to meet so many like-minded people who feel as we do about keeping abusers out of the fandom.
Is there anything I can do from my end? Would it help at all to try to get more authorities involved?
There’s already large agencies involved. I don’t think there is anything more we can do except let them work and encourage people who may have evidence to forward it to them as soon as possible. If this was a SoL situation, then it’s because this wasn’t given to police sooner.
Maybe they're giving him some line with a surveillance warrant, to see if they can snag more evidence / connected perps before dropping the hammer. One can dream.
I'm hoping the officer can clear some of this up. So far all I got is ''The DA is not filing charges/charges haven't been filed yet" and that's not much to go on :/ The only thing that I can think of is he bringing up the statute of limitations MAYBE being an obstacle but idk.
