[Thread] So to calm any fears around this topic: no, Xanadu isn't going to be doxxing random people because they're in the Furry Raiders.
Witch-hunting can very easily be stopped by using the legal definition of the term "sexually explicit" instead of subjective phrases like "sexual". Subjectivity invites opinions to make decisions instead of facts. A high standard of evidence is also important. Caps can be faked.

Xanadu's changing. It'll continue to be a fun community with ideals, but we'll have an ops crew on the side to make the furry community at large a better place. No one will be forced to take part, but it will be there.

Just by utilising legal terms doesn't stop false accusations nor witch hunts. Witch hunts happen when you get a people all ready to accuse others of things, and you start to accuse others of things, and you don't need much in the way of evidence... : /

I mean, who is to say that someone won't call me a zoophile because, as I have explained before and the context for it, publicly a few times now. My livejournal from so many years ago now... still has 'ζ' listed as an interest. Is that enough 'evidence' to start the hunt?

Not at all. I'd need video footage, Telegram forwards, that sort of thing. And even then, the possibility of making fake accounts on different forums needs to be considered.

Say for example I found your name on BeastForums talking about how great your dog feels-- this proves nothing. Anyone can write it.
-
But say I then was able to find you had posted zoo images of your dog posted there and cross-referenced them to a Facebook account with your friends. THAT would be a lot more damning. And this could be fed through http://archive.is , which is reliable.
