[Thread] So to calm any fears around this topic: no, Xanadu isn't going to be doxxing random people because they're in the Furry Raiders.

I heard Len claimed otherwise on a stream last night? I guess that's why people are worried. Take it from me, the leader of Xanadu: whatever Len said in regards to this was inaccurate.

Len is feeling very wounded and betrayed by his long-time friend Foxler. Please don't blame Len for what he said. Foxler attacked us (and tried to make us look like the bad guys at the same time) because we wouldn't give him control of our group.

Please rethink this last tweet. This is the sort of policy that could be seriously abused. Xanadu is an online community--not any sort of law enforcement or investigative agency.
-
Witch-hunting can very easily be stopped by using the legal definition of the term "sexually explicit" instead of subjective phrases like "sexual". Subjectivity invites opinions to make decisions instead of facts. A high standard of evidence is also important. Caps can be faked.
-
Xanadu's changing. It'll continue to be a fun community with ideals, but we'll have an ops crew on the side to make the furry community at large a better place. No one will be forced to take part, but it will be there.
-
Just by utilising legal terms doesn't stop false accusations nor witch hunts. Witch hunts happen when you get a people all ready to accuse others of things, and you start to accuse others of things, and you don't need much in the way of evidence... : /
-
I mean, who is to say that someone won't call me a zoophile because, as I have explained before and the context for it, publicly a few times now. My livejournal from so many years ago now... still has 'ζ' listed as an interest. Is that enough 'evidence' to start the hunt?
-
Not at all. I'd need video footage, Telegram forwards, that sort of thing. And even then, the possibility of making fake accounts on different forums needs to be considered.
-
Say for example I found your name on BeastForums talking about how great your dog feels-- this proves nothing. Anyone can write it.
-
But say I then was able to find you had posted zoo images of your dog posted there and cross-referenced them to a Facebook account with your friends. THAT would be a lot more damning. And this could be fed through http://archive.is , which is reliable.

I agreed with you up to this point. This point ends up being a witch hunt, just look at that 'pedo' and 'nazi' oh sorry.... 'zoo' over there. I know it is. You must repent. Even the language is reminiscent of the witch trials. This concerns me.
-
Maybe my word choice is a bit questionable. I think it's easy to avoid witch hunting with objective terminology being a focal point of consideration and a high standard of evidence being required.
-
Believe me, I would rather let some slip through the cracks than have such a side activity devolve into witch-hunting with folks appending names because they don't like them (like what happens on the Farms). Whistle blowing might be a better way to phrase it, idk.
-
What's actually effectively happening is an "artists beware"-style repository for animal and child sex abusers in the fandom.

I think this is a terrible idea. Replace "zoophile" with "racist" and "pedophile" with "transphobe", and you get a passage directly from the SJW handbook.
-
SJWs differ from normal ppl in that they equate hurt feelings with real, physical harm. I'll never agree that being offensive with words is an excessively heinous act. Molesting a child or a puppy however. That is. Thoughtcrime doesn't exist. But when thoughts become actions...
-
I see this confusion everywhere in furry. Anti-SJWism was never meant to be an "anti-justice" position. It's important to be able to speak our minds. But that has nothing to do with not punishing legitimate criminals.

im confused blum. all due respect but you said "We also intend to bar these people from joining our community" then said if they "repent" &"give names" aka accuse others they are welcomed back into the fold...the way thats set up is more than a little salem witch trials isnt it?
-
im just concerned that it incentivizes vendettas,lying...bc what if they dont know that many others, or ANY others? they would lie if they wanted in enough. then do those people have to prove innocence? how does that work? just seems like it will backfire
-
I guess I skimmed over this when I first read the thread and yeah, with what
@MasterZelox pointed out... how will this be handled exactly? ...if most other furry groups already have you and Xanadu as#AltFurry, what purpose does this doxx list serve for others? - This Tweet is unavailable. End of conversation
