Not sure what you mean, Sam. True, any coverage of this should include the obvious analysis that it’s not at all clear how he could do this. But you’re not actually asserting that his declaration of intent is not a story, and should be ignored, right?

No. Not at all. Just that it needs that framing
-
And that whatever air or placement it is given should probably reflect that it’s going to face very serious, and very lengthy legal challenges if he issues an eo at all
-
"...it’s going to face very serious, and very lengthy legal challenges..." Will it? Or will they fast track it to the Supreme Court, where 5 of 9 Justices are partisan Republicans? Is there a single one of those five that will flip and do what's right? (Ok, MAYBE Roberts)
-
The idea should be mocked and ridiculed and laughed out of the news cycle before noon. It won't - but it should.
-
This is all a part of their White Nationalist plan to slow or reverse the demographics trend leading to whites becoming a minority in the U.S. and I put nothing past them.

It’s actually not, Sam. Read the story. I asked him a question based on several weeks of reporting. The legal context is in the story. Your tweet — suggesting he teed this up — suggests you think I’m lying about the origin of the piece
-
Oh. Your question is fine. I think trump is quite eager to have us all talking about this though.
-
Isn't this what Jonathan does. Send up white house trial balloons and release their new policies before everyone else. I mean he's a member of staff virtually.
-
Like the time he reported Rosenstein got fired?
-
Yep in the midst of yet another self-inflicted crisis by the WHhttps://www.axios.com/rod-rosenstein-resign-justice-department-trump-cf761f4c-fca3-4794-92d4-a56c9e32ff43.html …

Maybe Trump will curtail the First Amendment by carving out exceptions via executive order and shut down
@CNN. If Trump can end birthright citizenship, guaranteed by the 14th Amendment, what’s to stop him from curtailing other parts of the Constitution? -
The changing of the constitution is their end game. From that change Trump would make himself king of America.
-
Whatever Trump’s goals are, they are entirely destructive to American democracy. We do not live in normal times.

HONEST QUESTION, MEDIA: Why didn't you ask Trump any questions about the Constitution during the debates to reveal his complete lack of understanding of what the Constitution says and how it operates?
-
In 2015, Trump said he thought 14th Amendment "wouldn't hold up in court" and he could deport those who were claiming birthright citizenship. Yet he wasn't asked this in the debates. Why the hell, not?https://www.politico.com/story/2015/08/donald-trump-bill-oreilly-interview-121515 …
