    No, “separatism” is only used in ME when Kurds try to achieve local governance within official borders. No one will call it “separatism” when Turkey together with Turkmen and Arabs, and blessings from Russia, impose non-Syrian governance on Syrian areas from Ankara..

    Is this separatism? Or part of Turkey's 'one unified Syria' policy?

    not just disputed by in turkey in syria, it's an obvious . has been killing and suppressing kurds even since the republic was founded in 1923, and before that too. that's not opinion but well established .

    Turkey's ambassador to Iraq repeats the oft made (but highly disputed by many Kurds in Turkey & Syria!) statement that Turkey is great friends of the Kurds & only trying to fight terrorism

    This puff piece by about the Daily Sabah, a Turkish government newspaper, is horrendous. It glosses over the fact Turkey is the number one jailer of journalists worldwide by saying simply "Turkey has a record of jailing journalists".

    I am sorry about your fiancé. But is it nessecary to do propaganda for a dictator that also kills and imprisons journalists? He shouldn't face justice too, but rather be celebrated?
