I absolutely don't have the power to. I am an underling. And there's a lot of "of nothing happens AT a convention, there's not much staff can do". In this situation, I'd have to do research. I'm not sure what staff is allowed to do honestly.

Even in the case where I was a little higher up, we were stuck with hardly any staff and had to deal with the Furry Raiders at BLFC. But they learned from that and have plans in place. If a staff cares, they will learn and adapt policy, which needs to happen here imho

I am really disappointed that FWA will not issue a child sex offender announcement for their own con if they are allowing a child diddler inside its con WILLINGLY and KNOWINGLY because he paid a pretty penny to be there. Refund his fucking money and do the right thing, guys.

I think the legal side of it would depend on laws in the state and the terms of his release. If he's no longer required to declare his status or stay away from minors due to time having passed, then legally he can attend, etc.

I feel this but he has consistently tried to solicit minors since being banned from fa. Can you imagine the ramifications if he decided to do something with someone underage at FWA and was caught?

He's a local I've been wary of (he's not allowed to our meets, or he hasn't come to them) but from what I've heard from all involved, he's registered for someone else in his room at a con bringing a minor in for sexual relations, I don't know if he's done anything himself?

Ah, the incident at the hotel is what I heard about, then there's more. Definitely shoot this at the convention and I hope to be pushing conventions this year to bad convicted sex offenders from attendance. Whoof, this dude is 100% on my beat least, gross.
