Come on, can we get some real contrition here please? Trans rights are not a matter of 'social debate', it's a question of basic human rights. Issue a real apology and take a clear stand in support of transgender and non-binary people.
Yesterday, we posted a tweet containing a trending hashtag as a pun. The tweet was neither intended as a malicious attack, nor as a comment to the ongoing social debate. GOG should focus only on games. We acknowledge that and we commit to it.

They don't even need to take some kind of online stand they just need to refrain from misusing hashtags on purpose. Which is...the easiest job in the world if you do social media for a living.

Don't fire whoever wrote that. Honestly, this was a non-issue blown beyond proportions by a wasp's nest crowd. People got fed up because you posted a screenshot from Postal 2, for fuck's sake. You don't need to apologize for making an insignificant tweet that did no actual harm.

Seems to me that someone saw a hashtag trending and used it without really/fully checking what it was trending for and without bothering for context. It's clusmy, even stupid, but I don't think it was as bad as some people would believe it.

If it wasn't for that last line "Yeah, hows that for using a hashtag" I might've believed that. If it wasn't the third time this came out of CD Projekt, I might still be listening. If this apology wasn't emptier than my 4 year old saying sorry, I might have accepted it.

It's kind of like when someone does a somewhat competent (but not enough) skateboard trick. They'd make a comment like "Yeah, did you see that?". That shouldn't offend, but it was forced into such by a crowd. And the previous times were also non-issues, especially the POSTAL one.

Yeah, see. Why should people not be allowed to make jokes? If you defend something or if you're even dealing with some serious shit hitting the fan, then you shouldn't let yourself get so uptight about all of it constantly. Jokes will happen. They're not all out to harm somebody.
