Yeah it sure seems that way. A lot more stages seem to be available and characters as well on this demo. I hope this is the final version of the game that it is playable so we get to at least see gameplay of the other characters and the other stages.

Probably from Nintendo themselves and was inserted into the video. Notice how all of the over the shoulder shots only had characters that were in the demo
