“It’s a-me, Mario!” Video game-inspired racing coming to Columbus

You’ve played Mario Kart and you’ve probably played Beerio Kart, but have you played Mushroom Racing?

This is a live-action go karting experience coming to Columbus sometime in 2019 where the costumes are provided and the bananas are very real.

Tickets include costumes, 20 laps, DJ and after party, games, activities and more.

If you’ve got your drifting and shell-throwing down to a science, you could win yourself a place in the Mushroom Racing in Las Vegas.

There’s also a $1000 cash prize if you can finish the track in 40 seconds flat.

It’s all mushrooms and mustaches in the pictures but according to News.com.au, guests weren’t too enthused about their experience when it first launched in Australia.

But we must warn you, customers complained about some kinks when the

“Absolute rip-off,” one reviewer wrote on TripAdvisor. “$100 for nothing. Embarrassing. Disaster of an event.”

Another person complained about the lack of variety and cleanliness of the costumes and lack of games available (“The arcade games promised were just two Wii consoles, everything else you had to pay”).
