This is the place where I plant the seeds of societal collapse, via My Little Pony based horseporn. Have fun kids! And don't play too rough! (unless that's what you are into)
Okay, so I changed my mind. I’m uploading the wip of the image set tonight -3-
This image set is in response to a certain post made by @ligersartplace. A love the picture, he made, and it gave me an opportunity to show Jarvbun, and his personality off a bit more~
For those interested, I’ll be uploading the full versions to my patreon once I’m finished with the pictures -3-
And once again, thanks for the original picture, Liger! o3o
So I guess this is as good a time as any to respond to some questions and explain some things:
Okay, so I’ve basically been dead on almost all social media for over half a year. The only place I visited was basically my own and some friends’ Discord servers.
Sometime early in the year I kinda ran into an art block, which persisted for a long while, probably caused by being burned out on art? I’m not sure, but I couldn’t draw anything. Sometimes I’d just sit over the canvas trying to move a vague image from my head to the screen, and I just couldn’t see the “lines”. As in, how the thing I wanna draw should look like. Where a character’s hips should be, or what angle the legs should go, etc.
Finally, a few weeks ago, a friend suggested something to me in relation to halloween. The suggestion being what ended up as the Alex/Gabe Empyrean Nezha cosplay pics I uploaded today. I was inspired by it, and after managing to draw a couple of other sketches (both posted already) I finally managed to make something I was satisfied with, after roughly six months.
Speaking of, when are you gonna open comms again, Jarvy?
If I feel like I can do consistent artwork with consistently good quality I’ll open them up again.
However instead of opening for a limited number of slots, I’d probably do waiting lists. Which would mean that there would be a first-come-first-serve basis, but everyone would get a chance to get a commission. However there would be no time limit of the waiting list. So if you sign up late, it could take months to get your turn.
On the other hand, if anyone drops out or isn’t available for the commish when they get their turn, others will obviously move up.
Also, if someone wanted to get to the front of the line, they could set a (reasonable) deadline for an extra fee. But this wouldn’t be something that just anyone could do, there would have to be a limit, but that’s still just an idea.
While those who had their turn, but had to put their commission on hold due to time or monetary constraints, would be put on a secondary list. When they are available, they could message me, and I’d add them back on the top of the list as the next in line.
Of course this system is a work in progress, so I’m open to hearing opinions and questions about it.
It's been so long since I've seen your work. When do we get more art?
No promises, but I will be doing my best to work on stuff. Some personal works with me OCs, hopefully some gifts and seasonal pics, and if I feel like I can keep a schedule, I’ll re-open commissions.
Didn't you open commissions ages ago, and now this is done? Well, now I know to not commission you, lest I'll die of old age before it is finished...
Okay, not this is an important message (despite the way it’s phrased)
Yes, I did take commissions ages ago (even by this message’s time), but those commissions were finished, and some time after I took some private commissions on my server (yet another reason to join my discord server :P). And even though those commissions also took some time to be finished, it wasn’t the time this anon is describing.
However I will admit that I did take way longer with some of those than I should have. Which is the exact reason why I never request payment in advance. I always finish the sketch, and only request payment once the commissioner approved the sketch. After that I go straight to working on inking and such.
The only exception from this rule are sketch commissions, in the case of which I make a rough sketch, and get that approved and paid, before cleaning it up.
I do try my best to run a fair business. Sometimes hiccups happen, and in such case I’d rather not be accused of sitting on commissioners’ money while neglecting my work.
Well, as I like to put it “I’m technically bi, but practically gay”. I still have an interest in females (I can find them sexually attractive, and I could see myself falling for someone if our personalities were compatible enough), but I do prefer guys.
Like, when I imagine finding a new partner, my default option is automatically male now :P Not to mention that everyone I’m currently interested in are guys as well.
